The New Reinstate Hank

Reinstate Hank

As reported in a previous article, Fate of Reinstate, changes to the Reinstate Hank campaign are happening. There is a new look for the website Reinstate Hank and new tshirt designs including one that is available at the III tour merch booth and another awesome design on 3bay (pictured left).

On the other side, the Neltner Creative website has been redone as well. In the store you will find some awesome Hank III and Reinstate Hank prints. There is also an entire Reinstate Hank section.

Keith Neltner speaks of his decades worth of Hank III artwork and his affiliation with the Reinstate Hank Movement in a new article at muzzleofbees.com and there is a new Renistate website in the works at reinstatehankwilliams.com. Judging by the article content, one can assume that Judd Films and Neltner are continuing on the path of making a film themselves, that they have much of the fan art and the petition book. It also mentions briefly the Neltner and Hank III split.

Obviously the roots run deep and strong within the movement so I am looking forward to seeing what develops.

Be sure to get your new Reinstate Hank shirts and continue to spread the word about signing the petition. After all, it’s about respect.

The Fate of Reinstate

In a recent interview in Late Nov 2009 with No Budget TV Music (Hank 3 interview Part 1), Hank III discussed the Reinstate Hank movement. He mentioned that the original Reinstate Hank documentary film was put on hold indefinitely and that the project was being reformed from scratch. The cited reason for this sudden direction change was a disrespect issue. Within the next month, I saw some obvious changes within the Hank III camp. Orginally working on the project was Hank III, Keith Nelter and Judd Films. Shelton put out a call for artists within 2 weeks of this interview and I also saw it mentioned on myspace that he was no longer working with Judd Films….

As for the business relationships going sour, I have no confirmation of this information. But it is obvious that something is going on. Which makes me think that III fans should be sure to purchase all their favorite Nelter designed tshirts and posters from 3bay cause we may not see any more of them soon…

BUT my question is this: What is to come of the previous Reinstate Hank fan submissions, art, videos, petitions and film content? Where is the official petition book and why haven’t I seen it at recent shows? What is the future of Reinstate Hank and what can fans do to help?
